Background

AXA PPP healthcare, part of the global AXA Group and one of the UK’s largest healthcare providers is proactively investing in and developing new health services propositions and currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Corporate Sales Team.

You will be meeting potential new corporate clients throughout the UK and will also be required to spend some time in our offices in Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells and Glasgow.

You will be developing high value new business opportunities, primarily in occupational health and wellbeing services from new clients to AXA and through strategically developing existing client relationships.

**please note, this role is location independent but will require travel predominantly in the South of England therefore the succesful candidate will ideally be based in this area.



The role
Your role will include:
Leading activities across AXA PPP healthcare to proactively identify, generate and manage new business prospects, to whom you will sell on a consultative basis.
Identify client needs and produce high quality tailored presentations, proposals and tender documents.
Establish positive and productive working partnerships with internal departments and teams.
Provide and share customer and market feedback with the business to help shape the strategy for ongoing proposition development.
Represent the department at key internal and external forums including being a speaker.


Skills, knowledge and behaviour

The experience and skills we are looking for are:

A proven record of achieving new business sales targets in a consultative, service selling environment, in the occupational health and wellbeing space - this is an essential requirement
Strong commercial and strategic awareness with an understanding of corporate business and the relationship between healthcare benefits, employee wellness and corporate performance.
Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build a network of contacts, both internally and externally.
Customer focused with excellent questioning and listening skills and the ability to build and present tailored proposals.
