An experienced and professional Transport Manager is required for Matthew James Removals Ltd Dartford. Reporting to the European & UK Depot manager, this is a great opportunity to work for an established business in the removals sector.

Job Role – Transport Manager:

As Transport Manager your key responsibilities will include:

• Working with suppliers and clients, planning routes and scheduling delivery times.
• Managing a team of drivers & porters.
• Making sure the operation meets its targets
• Coordinating staff training
• Putting together performance reports for directors
• Arranging vehicle maintenance, MOT`s and legal compliance.
• Organising vehicle replacements

Key Attributes – Transport Manager

As Transport Manager you must have:

• Strong organisational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loads
• Excellent budget handling skills
• The ability to think logically
• The ability to work flexibly and to make decisions quickly
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
• Microsoft office knowledge is essential
• Good leadership and motivational skills
• A good understanding of transport regulations
• Good geographical knowledge
• European experience/knowledge would be advantageous.
• CPC National and International would also be advantageous

Average of 45 hours per week & on call.
A company phone will be provided.
28 Days holiday including Bank Holidays.
There will be a probationary period of six months

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
