Our client is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join their busy team in Snodland!
Overall Purpose of the Role:
To provide supervisory support to the Operations of the depot, duties to include operation and administration of both production and transport: material flows in and out of the depot, dealing with enquiries, data entry in line with all Company procedures, liaison with other departments to resolve queries, monitor daily all elements of Transport related compliance reporting any infringements/non compliances to Depot Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the receipt and administer customer / supplier enquiries
2. To administer any pricing amendments to depot purchase and sales contracts
3. To administer variances (material grades, prices, self-weigh terminal, manual tickets, material breakdowns, out of hours transactions etc.)
4. To co-ordinate and administer sales loads paperwork / annexes where required
5. To co-ordinate and administer export photos where required
6. To enter and administer any charges on the system
7. To generate and distribute sales / purchase reports for local checking
8. To generate / collate and distribute customer / supplier regular and ad hoc reporting to include the sourcing and distribution of copy tickets as requested
9. To ensure all local filing is accurately completed
10. To assist with Depot month end reporting accurate site stock reconciliation within defined deadlines
11. To liaise with other depots / commercial teams / finance department / others to share knowledge, resolve queries and ensure the accuracy of input and output
12. To administer the compliance of Vehicle Fleet including
Ensure fleet maintenance planner is kept up to date.
Ensure all vehicle files are kept up to date with all relevant compliant paperwork.
Support Depot Manager in all aspects of Fleet compliance and performance using all available resources to provide the necessary information to assess fleet performance.
13. Ad Hoc duties as required within capability.
Personal Specification:
• Positive, proactive approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to challenge processes and offer new ideas
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
• Experience with Microsoft Navision and SAP beneficial but not essential
• Experience within the paper / recycling sector - desirable
• Knowledge of transport operation is an advantage
• CPC Qualification - desirable
• Willingness to promote a positive health and safety culture and awareness of Site Rules with visitors and colleagues
