DUAL SUPPORT WORKERS – SOCIAL HOURS

• 42 Weeks per year
• 40 hours per week
• Pay point 3 (£6.92 per hour) – 4 (£7.27 per hour) to reflect DSW social hours

This role is to cover the continuing requirement of supporting and preparing the young people during the educational day Monday to Friday and will also be responsible for assisting the young people in residence – including get ups and preparation for the education day, escorting to and from school or college, medical appointments and on transport escort duties. It will include early mornings but will not be working evening or night shifts after 8pm. A Diploma / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent will be required.
For all roles an appreciation of difficulties faced by deaf children, young people and adults with additional needs is required along with a commitment to safeguarding. The ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the service is important. Full details of the requirements are outlined within the job specifications.
