The Mote Park Fellowship are a group of volunteers that look after and maintain Mote Park in cooperation with Maidstone Borough Council.

Our work is integral to the life of the park and involves consultancy, conservation and education. It has created and enhanced wildlife habitats, constructed woodland paths & bridges, improved access, conducted biodiversity surveys, created a natural woodland play area and delivered events such as outdoor theatres, teddy bears picnics and guided walks.

We hope to promote community ownership of the park, increase our responsibility for maintaining and developing the park, raise the profile of the park in local and wider communities, deliver high quality events and develop the park as an education resource.

In order to achieve our aspirations and secure the park’s enduring legacy, we are looking for additional volunteers to help move projects forward.

As well as helping with the physical tasks of conservation, we are also looking for new members to join our group to help with planning, promotion, financing and leadership.

These are exciting times for the park and an opportunity to be involved at a level that suits you. The commitment is more in experience and enthusiasm than time and brings the satisfaction of helping to set up an organisation to benefit the whole community.
