Experienced Logistic and Transportation Co-ordinator

My client looking to appoint an Experienced Logistic and Transportation Co-ordinator, based in South East Kent.

The hours are good for a logistics role Mon – Fri, 09.00 – 18.00. My client is proud to say that all departments pull together and form a very united front!

Duties include:-
• Liaise with Shipping Lines / Hauliers
• Progress & book customers’ orders
• Accurate input of data
• Bills of Lading
• Letters of Credit & Certificates of Origin
• Customs formalities
• Financials on orders handled
• Ensure the timely and cost effective provisioning of parts and internal services
• Encompass areas of activity associated with supply chain management
• Define and control the detailed manufacturing plan such that inventory and work-in progress are maintained
• Provide written and verbal information on the status of the plan and achievements to date, using management reporting techniques.
• Forward Planning Sessions, Supplier Reviews, Cross Functional Sessions.
• Assess the detailed implications of proposed task directives, new or amended orders, regarding their effect on inventory and programme.
• Flexibility to use and develop new methods of working within a continually changing environment.

You the Candidate:-
• 2 Years’ Experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping Industry
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
• Able to work under pressure
• Enthusiastic and driven to achieve targets and objectives
• Good computer skills including Word, Outlook, Excel
• Strong and influential communicator.
• Attentive, patient and empathetic in query/complaint resolution.
• A natural aptitude for problem solving.
• Customer Service Excellence
• Possess self-set high standards of customer service provision.
• The ability to work cooperatively as part of a team is essential.
• Knowledge of the UK distribution procedure and ideally European imports and exports
• Have a high level of literacy and numeracy
• Identify sales opportunities

The salary range for this role is £18,000 - £20,000
