Channels and Choices is a centre of excellence for Therapeutic Child Care; providing specialist therapeutic fostering services, residential children's services and specialist education services to children aged between 8-18 across Deal, Dover and Sandwich.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, driven and experienced individual to manage one of our residential teams. You will work alongside other social workers in the senior management team, delivering the highest quality residential care to children & young people. You will ensure the smooth day to day running of the home; ensure regulatory compliance; liaise with external agencies as appropriate (social workers, local authorities, Ofsted and so on); manage the homes’ budget and train, develop and supervise all existing and new staff.
Applicants must have at least 2 years recent management experience in a similar setting, a level 4 Registered Managers award (Children/Young People) or equivalent, or ideally be a qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration & experience in a management role in children’s social work.
In return for your hard work and commitment we offer an extensive training and development package in association with Professor David Shemmings OBE, PhD who is Co-Director of the Assessment of Disorganised Attachment and Maltreatment (ADAM) Project. We are at an exciting stage of expansion, and this role will provide extensive opportunities for professional development & training. Those that do not have an appropriate level 5 qualification would be fully supported to achieve this.
A clean driving license is a distinct advantage. Whilst the role is predominantly a 9-5, Monday to Friday, all managers are required to form part of a large on call rota covering evenings and weekends.
