Connect2Kent are looking for a temporary full time Project Officer to enable the authority and partners to provide and maintain high standards of project and programme management, in delivering its business and community improvement objectives.

The primary purpose of this support role is to provide a high-level project administrative function to the Project Manager and to assist in the collection, analysis and reporting requirements for the Children’s Service Improvement programme.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To support the project board, project lead and project manager to keep the Service Improvement Programme on target to deliver.
• To complete project related tasks and contribute to the formulation and updating of all related project documents.
• Facilitate and organise project events and meetings.
• Use of appropriate IT packages to undertake the collation and analysis of data.
• Support the project manager to monitor, track and report progress against the Project Plan.
• Promote excellent communication between all stakeholders and partners to provide two way information mechanisms.
• Undertake assigned project activity and tasks as and when required, ensuring that agreed outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected standards.
• Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the service.
• Commitment to equalities and the promotion of diversity in all aspects of working
• Awareness of Data Protection and confidentiality issues.
• Staff will be expected to have an awareness of and work within national legislation and Corporate and Directorate policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety.

A DBS will be required for this position at a cost of £54.
