This role is an integral part of the HR function. Title: Deputy HR Manager
Reports to: Head of HR and Field Operations
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Job Purpose
The primary role is to be responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the Human Resources and Operations team. This role has a broad remit across a wide variety of HR issues.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Advising and supporting all staff on employment issues and best practice for Head Office and remote members of staff.
• Dealing with employee issues and finding effective resolutions
• Line manage the Senior HR Assistant, HR and Operations Administrators and Operations Administrators on the day to day running of the department
• Carryout investigation and disciplinary meetings
• Management of all pregnancy, maternity and health and safety processes
• Management of employment process to ensure the Company meets its legal obligations under relevant legislation
• Management of HR records, including holiday and sickness records for office and remote based staff, in line with Company and Legal Requirements
• Regular review of the recruitment and employment documentation and processes to ensure changes in legislation and compliance requirements are met.
• Undertake Performance Reviews, grievance and Disciplinary investigations ensuring that adopted process are followed at all times.
• Manage the TUPE process
• Manage any injuries that happen at work and that a RIDDOR report is carried out.
• Support the Head of HR and Field Operations Manager and Registered Manager where appropriate
• Manage Office based recruitment, conducting interviews and management of documentation in lines of best practice
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Educated to degree level ideally CIPD qualified or working towards an HR qualification
SPECIFIC SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• A minimum of 3 years broad based commercial HR management experience in a professional business environment
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Results driven and people focused
• Full UK driving licence holder
• Team player with excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Close attention to detail
• Effective planning and organising skills
• Experienced computer user – MS Word and Excel proficiency is essential
