Portal Financial LLP is a Pension Specialist, part of The Portal Group based in Rochester. Portal Financial LLP was established early in 2009 and has grown significantly and consistently, revolutionising the pension release & transfer industry.

Due to the recent growth and significant success which has already been delivered, they now seek a Compliance Assistant to join the Technical (Quality Assurance) Compliance team.

Responsibilities include;

• Ensuring all work produced by the firm is compatible and compliant with FCA rules by monitoring accuracy of documentation sent to clients
• To do this they are particularly responsible for:
- Checking evidence packs
- Checking reports
- Checking option letters
- Checking post sale option letters
- Performing file reviews
- Performing tasks set by the Technical Compliance Team Leader as and when required

This position is ideal for someone with good analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent command of English and proficient in Mathematics. Would suit a new graduate or part qualified student with experience of a financial nature.

The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Excel and have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages. They will have a good eye for detail, be methodical in their approach to work and have the ability to work to deadlines within a team environment. They should be dynamic and self-motivated, and possess strong communication skills.

Experience with an Independent Financial Adviser or a similar Administration Role would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week between 8am and 6pm. Overtime may be available from time to time.
