Role Overview:
• Be an integral part of small team within RIFT Group specialising in identifying and obtaining R&D tax relief and tax credits for SMEs.
• Interesting and varied work, engaging many diverse clients.
• Immediate start, but will wait for the right candidate.
• Regular travel to clients’ premises.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interviewing the clients’ key technical staff to identify and establish all applicable R&D projects.
• Writing the technical reports that describe the technological objectives, advancements and uncertainties of the client projects that support the R&D claim.
• Managing and prioritising client projects and reports to meet deadlines and clients expectations

Ideal Candidate:
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Able to conduct technical interviews – probing questioning, careful listening, strong fact-finding.
• Excellent technical and persuasive writing skills, able to communicate complex situations into meaningful and easy-to-understand language.
• Highly personable and presents themselves and the service well to a professional audience.
• Computer literate, proficient in MS Office, and with a keen interest in science and technology.
• Possibly a background in software development, or educated in a technical field.
• Prepared to travel to client meetings anywhere in the UK.
• Previous R & D tax knowledge is NOT required for this role although this would be highly advantageous.

Hours of work: Permanent, full-time, working flexible hours/ 37.5 hours a week.
