If you’re educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), now’s your chance to enjoy structured training and gain valuable experience as a Commercial Trainee within our Southern Counties operation.

As a Commercial Trainee, you’ll be part of a skilled team that runs some 700 buses in an area stretching from the north Essex/Suffolk border, through Kent and across to the Surrey/Hampshire border. You’ll join our Commercial department, tackling all kinds of challenges, starting with electronic data management. It’s a key task: the files you’ll be handling will support our brand new Arriva app, as well as management systems. You’ll also learn how to create reliable, cost-efficient bus timetables and driver duty schedules that meet customers’ expectations.

Your work will involve analysing bus service performance, from both a financial and operational perspective, so you must be computer literate with a head for figures. You’ll also need excellent communication skills, as you’ll be dealing with a wide range of contacts both within and outside Arriva. Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), you’ll relish the chance to get to know our extensive operating area in detail.
