Leeds Castle, near Maidstone is a popular venue for conferences, weddings and functions. We also welcome over 500,000 day visitors every year.

We are currently looking for two highly motivated, well presented, polished Castle Porters to support the Hospitality Duty Manager in all areas providing a high level of service to conference, banqueting, and residential guests.

Duties will include:

 Meeting guests and showing them to their rooms.
 To be responsible for the collection of guests luggage and safe delivery to the appropriate room.
 To be responsible for the set up of rooms for castle conferences/day meetings ensuring adequate supplies of pens/pads/water etc are supplied.
 To take initiative in forward planning for set ups, with the help of the operational notes provided.
 To clean fire places and re-lay fires in rooms as directed by Hospitality Duty Manager.


The ideal applicant will ideally have had previous experience gained in a hotel or conference and banqueting environment, however we are willing to train the right applicant.

This position will involve working on a zero hours basis and will include working both day and evening shifts (with some early start/late finish shifts) The level of work will depend on business but is likely to be in the region of 20 hours each week, between March and September.

Applicants must be able to drive and have a current driving licence and be physically fit as occasional heavy lifting is required. The castle is approximately a mile from the nearest bus stop so it will be difficult to work without your own transport.
