Site Operative
Salary: £17970.00 pa.
Location: Dunbrik Waste Transfer Station , Sundridge, Kent
Hours: 48 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Reference: NW/281114/116
Main Duties:
•To carry out duties on a waste transfer station and household waste and recycling centre.
•Sweeping and cleaning of the transfer station and household waste and recycling centre to ensure the site is kept clean and tidy.
•Meet and greet customers when they enter the site.
•Assist and direct customers to ensure waste/materials is placed into the correct containers.
•Maximise recycling to achieve operational targets.
•Operate site weighbridge to cover holidays/absence.
•Operate site plant machinery.
•Act as a reversing assistant/pedestrian watch in the transfer station.
Skills and Abilities:
•Good customer service skills.
•Able to work as part of a team.
•Able to use own initiative.
•Computer literate.
•Good knowledge and approach to health and safety.
