Background
We are seeking to appoint four Engagement Officers to support the implementation and delivery of the Individual Student Timetables (IST) project.
The University has established a Change Programme: a joined-up programme of a number of high value projects and initiatives focussing on changing how the University works, communicates and delivers the student experience. The Individual Student Timetables Project is one such project, aimed at making timetable information more accessible, timely and individualised.
The Role
As Engagement Officer, you would be liaising with colleagues in both academic and central services departments. You would be required to convey clearly the aims and requirements of the project in delivering individual student timetables. As well as an excellent communicator, you will work with colleagues in understanding challenges and pressures and feeding back to the project team to inform the strategy.
With demonstrable experience of working with diverse groups of stakeholders, you will be able to work independently as well as within the wider team environment. You will also be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of higher education processes and systems, coupled with an exceptional interest in bringing about effective change to enhance the student experience. You will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, allowing you to be solution focussed.
The Person
Educated to first degree level (or equivalent qualification) you will have a high level of computer literacy with exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
