The Kent and Essex Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (KEIFCA) has extensive marine conservation duties and has a responsibility to ensure that the exploitation of fisheries resources is undertaken in a sustainable manner.
This position offers an opportunity for interesting and highly varied employment for a person wishing to be involved at the front line of inshore fisheries and Marine Protected Area management and enforcement. The role covers duties both on land and at sea, working as part of a small team on a patrol vessel as a member of the crew and undertaking shore based enforcement of fisheries legislation, as well as assisting with surveys and project work, replying to consultations, liaising with marine agencies and attending meetings.
