Our client, an established housing provider based in Sittingbourne, is currently looking to recruit an Estates Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of high quality estate services to residents.

This is a temporary position paying an hourly rate of £17.49.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of service contracts to deliver cost-effective and efficient services to customers in accordance with organisational objectives and targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To be responsible for devising, implementing and delivering a strategy and related action plans for constantly improving performance and customer satisfaction with the external estates service contracts.
To be responsible for ensuring all contracts are delivered in accordance with contract terms, conditions and specifications, and ensuring compliance with government standards and legislative regulations, with services delivered within priority, on time, by appointment and to budget.
To manage the performance of external suppliers and partners, determining and monitoring service standards and key performance indicators and where standards are not being met, implement systems and processes to address this.
To work with the Group’s Procurement Team in the establishment of new contracts, to re-tender existing contracts and procure new ones as necessary.
To be responsible for encouraging residents to be involved in all stages of the contracting service, including reviewing draft specifications, the procurement process and contract monitoring, ensuring their involvement has a real impact on the provision of services.
To be responsible for measuring and monitoring externally supplied services through a process of formal inspections of estates and blocks, providing written reports and ensuring resident are fully involved in this process and kept appraised of progress on issues raised.
To be responsible for undertaking complaints investigations, production of reports and drafting responses to complainants.

Person Specification

Experience of working in a similar or related environment or post.
Proficient IT skills in order to produce and maintain basic statistics and other information.
Experience of budget setting and monitoring / controlling expenditure.
Experience of monitoring to ensure performance is compliant with required standards and specifications.
Knowledge of legislative frameworks such as procurement processes and service charges.
