An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to run a highly reputable 4* Hotel in the Ashford area.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and includes separate lodge accommodation, all of which the successful candidate will be running. This is a hugely popular venue for weddings, parties and corporate functions therefore experience within this field is desirable.

The Role will include:
• Day to day running of the hotel
• Maximise the hotel and functions revenue, working closely with the Revenue Manager.
• Find ways to achieve objectives set by the Director
• Handling all financial costs including forecasting, budgeting and producing financial reports
• Develop the current team as and where required, including training new staff and keeping the current team motivated
• Seeking new business opportunities alongside the Marketing team

Key Skills Required:
• Previous experience as a General Manager in a prestigious hotel environment
• Proven experience in food & beverage and event operations
• A proven ability on increasing profits
• Be able to show where targets were met and exceeded in previous positions
• Strong leadership skills
• Be dynamic, articulate and highly motivated in pushing the business forwards
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Have a flexible and adaptable outlook
• High attention for detail

Own transport is essential – the venue is not on a public transport route and you may be required to undertake occasional business travel.

Hours of work will vary, however applicants will be expected to work on average 40 hours per week, including week days and weekends and will include late evening work.

Salary £40,000 per annum (flexible dependent on experience)
