Forensic Telecommunications Services (FTS) Ltd are a world renowned digital forensics and cell-site company delivering best evidence, expert witness attendance as well as forensic and legal consultancy to UK and global agencies.
We are seeking to employ an experienced accounts controller.
Accounts Controller Role Purpose
To manage, deliver and ensure the finance needs of the business are met and that accurate reporting mechanisms are in place.
Responsible for the preparation and development of the management accounts.
To provide accounts administration for the company, supplier invoices and payments including expenses and any other accounts duties required.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
• Extensive proven working knowledge of Sage, spreadsheets
• Previous work in a similar SME accounts role(s)
• Working on own initiative- with a ‘hit the ground running’ mentality
• Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to prioritise workload and time to meet deadlines
• Ability to set up and adapt procedures to extract data and compile in spreadsheet format
• Ability to respond flexibly to change
• Analytical and problem solving skills combined with strong numerical skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
Key Tasks & Accountabilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts; complete all month-end closures, accruals and prepayments on a timely basis.
• The accurate and timely production of financial information that provides senior management with an understanding of key trends of the business
• Payroll administration (to include staff bonus calculations).
• Invoicing of clients
• Credit control
• Ledgers
• Administer and manage the invoice discounting process.
• Suppliers – enter all invoices onto sage and ensure coded to correct nominal code
• Manage bank accounts and all payments
• Filing of all invoices and company documents
Key Interfaces
• Internal – All departments and employees within FTS.
• External – All financial institutions, clients and suppliers.
