The day to day management of production activities throughout the high capacity manufacturing facility. To ensure effective management of equipment and personnel that all Shop Orders are manufactured in a safe manner in accordance with the processing instructions, procedures and current “Good Manufacturing Practice” requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 To ensure that quality standards of production are maintained. Liaise with QA department to reduce the number of process deviations and investigations within production. Monitor the number of quality failures with the QA department recommend and implement appropriate remedial actions

 Perform live documentation audit to ensure right first time.

 To continuously monitor GMP within production and recommend improvements. Ensure that all areas of process, facility and equipment within production are maintained to suitable standards. Ensure that all employees involved in production receive thorough and accurate training in both GMP and process related activities. As required write, update and approve all departmental BOP’s.

 Ensure the production performance conforms to or exceeds the agreed planning schedule. Implement operational schedule changes to ensure optimisation of equipment. Contribute to the generation of the weekly plan.

 To maximise production efficiencies and minimise down time in conjunction with the Plant and Engineering Managers. Have responsibility for ensuring manufacturing consumables and other related expenses remain under control.

Qualifications and Expereince
Ideally gained a degree in science, technical, operations or engineering discipline
Ideally gained a CI qualification
Ideally expereince of working in a GMP environment
People management expereince
