Vacancy Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist the Information Rights Department in dealing with all aspects of access to and disclosure of personal information in accordance with UK legislations including the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Also, to provide support to the Information Rights Office with particular reference to the Caldicott principles, Confidentiality, Information Security and system administration.

KEY RESULT AREAS:
The post requires a person with good administrative abilities, with an interest in a legislative environment. The nature of the role, will require the individual to be able communicate with confidence and understanding across all levels of staff and with members of the public.

The individual must be able to make understand and take responsibility for understanding when it is appropriate to lead on, and when to escalate, particular issues. They must be able to work within a Team environment.

RESPONSIBILITY:
Work as part of the Information Rights Department within the Information Management and Technology Directorate delivering a service to the whole Trust, and its clients.

Provide comprehensive support within the Information Rights Department

Skills Required
Good interpersonal & communications skills both verbal and written.

Qualifications Required
GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)

Personal Qualities
• Organised approach
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Ability to work flexibly and be able to adapt
