Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a job in the Canterbury area? Hays Education is currently working in partnership with schools in the area to provide day-to-day and long-term teaching assistant support. We are looking to recruit highly skilled, qualified, hard working and enthusiastic TA's who have a good understanding of one to one support.

The Teaching Assistant division in our Maidstone and Canterbury office is currently very busy, providing many days of work per week across the area. We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistants to accept the challenge of supply work. We work within SEN and inclusion units supporting Autism, PMLD, MLD and BESD. We are also looking for specialist support across KS1 and KS2 in Literacy and Numeracy. We work in partnership with a large number of schools across Canterbury including surrounding areas such as Whitstable, Herne Bay and Faversham.

As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Working one to one and with small groups
Assisting the classroom teacher
Supporting Literacy and Numeracy
Supporting challenging behaviour

To be considered as a Primary School Teaching Assistant you must:
Have proven school experience
Be ICT literate
Be willing to promote learning
Enjoy working with children
Have experience with SEN Children

You will be required to complete a DBS and be able to provide reference details to cover the last 2 years prior to starting work.
