Hours of work: Alternate Shift (Shift bonus paid monthly) 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm.
Saturdays included on a rota basis. (Paid at time and half ) Regular overtime opportunities.

Salary: OTE 35,000
Contributed Company pension included.

Sparshatts of Kent Ltd are a Mercedes-Benz Commercial franchise. We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Vehicle Technician/Shift Leader and progressing to Technical Specialist to join our busy team at our Ashford depot.

Reporting to the Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for carrying out complex fault diagnosis, Quality checks, routine service and maintenance repairs and testing of modern commercial vehicles in a professional and safe manner. This position will also involve the supervising of multiple technicians, and training towards truck technical specialist.

You need to be a team player; supporting colleagues in the workshop in systematic fault diagnosis, informing them of technical innovations and communicating important information regarding fault diagnosis. You need to follow the instructions of the workshop controller, to enable your team to complete the work in an effective and timely fashion.

Requirements
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. (HGV license preferred, Training offered to the correct candidate)
• Good judgment.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Great attitude with a high-energy personality.
• Preference will be given to those with previous Mercedes-Benz experience.
