The Role - We are looking for a Production Planner to work within the Planning Department at our Dartford site. You will be working with Operations to co-ordinate manufacturing activities to ensure materials and intermediates are available to support the production plan and to ensure delivery of product is achieved in line with customer requirements. This is a demanding role and it is crucial to be a team player with the ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with internal departments and external clients.
The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate successful experience working in production planning or experience working in a manufacturing environment. You will have an understanding of production and quality control processes and the key technical attributes of the product. It is essential that you have strong problem solving techniques along with strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for trends. You will be computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and company business systems including MRP/SAP. Candidates will have good commercial acumen and a professional and respectful approach to customers, and will also have knowledge of administrative and transactional processes.
Brief Summary of Duties:
• produce and review master production schedules using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• ensure inventory safety stocks are maintained and discards are kept to a minimum.
• liaise with Operations and Procurement to co-ordinate manufacturing activities and to ensure materials are available to support production plans.
• create/update BOMs, routings and item codes for new and existing products.
• raise product/process waivers/NCMRs/Change Notes accordingly using the QSI system.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
