Age UK North West Kent is a successful local registered independent charity and company working to promote the well-being of older people in the Boroughs of Dartford, Gravesham and the surrounding areas.
The charity is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified catering manager who combines excellent cooking skills for daily multiple covers to tight deadlines, with sound planning, organisation, staff supervision, training, development and general management.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the post holder working collaboratively with other senior managers, will direct the group catering team and manage all catering provision consistently across the Age UK North West Kent group in both day and community services.
The post requires commitment to a high quality of service and customer satisfaction at all locations, ensuring that prepared food is safe, nutritious, appetising, cost effective and appropriate to the dietary needs of older people, staff and visitors. Currently the service provides 40,000 freshly cooked meals per year (7 days a week) delivered out into the community as well as providing 25,000 main meals and snacks in the day services. The charity is looking to grow the catering provision and have plans for refurbishment of our extensive ‘five star’ commercial kitchens.
If you have established a proven track record for at least four years working in a supervisory or management position within a busy commercial catering environment then first have a conversation with the Chief Executive Officer.
