You will be working for Oyster & Chop House based in Herne Bay. All products are locally sourced from within an 18 mile radius and are all organic. You will be working here whilst completing your Level 2 qualification in catering.

Your main duties will include:

To assist in the efficient running of the Kitchen

To complete the full apprenticeship framework.

To work collaboratively in the delivery of a food offer that promotes the business.

To attend daily briefings and ensure an awareness of menu or service changes at all times.

To strive to anticipate customer needs wherever possible and react to these to enhance customer satisfaction.

To provide all customers with a professional, helpful and friendly service at all times.

To take responsibility for your own personal development by attending training sessions and meetings when required and to operate in line with the training or information received.

To ensure that all foods are stored correctly and temperature and delivery checks are carried out to the required standard

To adhere to knife drill and equipment procedures.

To receive and mark off deliveries of consumables ensuring safe handling and storage, reporting on variances where appropriate.

To work in a clean and safe manner at all times

To ensure all elements of the apprentice framework are worked towards and completed in a timely manner.

To be aware of food hygiene standards and ensure these are consistently delivered.

Adhere to all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations as laid out in induction and by your line manager.

To remain customer focused at all times.

Skills Required
•Able to work under pressure
•Ideally have previous work experience
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

GCSE Grade D or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English is required.

Training provided: Level 2 pro chef qualification for the duration of 12 months.

Working week: Mon-Sun 11am-3pm,6pm-10pm shift pattern (40 hours)

Weekly wage: £ 107.20
