My client is a growing Building and Maintenance contractor who has seen significant growth in their market place across the South East recently. This growth is largely due to their reputation in the industry and a high demand for the quality workmanship they provide.

The client is seeking to add an experienced Contracts Manager to their team to help support and manage the current workload and client base. You will be working with the engineers and specialist staff on site to ensure the effective completion of the live jobs. Furthermore, You will assist with the set up of new works and brief the teams as to what needs to be achieved. Direct communication with the client will form a large and important part of the role also, so you will be an effective communicator at all levels.

The work is located across the South East, so you will not be adverse to travelling to site to attend the necessary meetings - you must be a car driver/ owner to be able to achieve this criteria.

You must have experience of working within the building and maintenance industry and have a good reputation with the trades that you are likely to be managing on a daily basis. It would be expected that in the future this role will develop to include identifying new opportunities and developing those further to add to the workload and secure a pipeline of potential new business.

The role will require attendance at the Regional Office in Maidstone daily alongside the site visits. The successful candidate will have a good command of using IT packages and preparing correspondence to a high standard.
