Site Manager Required for well established manufacturer of bespoke furniture based in Canterbury Kent:
ROLE PURPOSE:
To support the Contracts Manager’s master project plan, organizing & controlling all site installation works including all specialist sub-contract resources to achieve completion of contracted works within agreed programme and to the necessary specification and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* To ensure that all site operatives receive the correct site inductions held by the Client / Main Contractor.
* To ensure that all installation works are carried out with compliance to all relevant CDM and Health & Safety Legislation.
* To carry out site surveys to assist setting out as required.
* Ensure continual liaison with Project Design Coordinator with regards to any design issues.
* To liaise with Client / Main Contractor’s site representatives to ensure a good working relationship is maintained & the required service is provided.
* To liaise with all sub-contract labour to ensure a good working relationship is maintained & required service is provided.
* To liaise with the production and delivery departments regarding project requirements / contract programme dates / delivery arrangements and notifications.
* Ensure continual liaison with Contracts Manager regarding all site issues by means of a weekly install tracker and progress report.
* To communicate with the Main Contractor for full deliverance of the project, ensuring a full and complete set of records is maintained.
* Ensure that all site documentation (CVI’s, Day works, SI’s etc.) are kept up to date in accordance with procedure & that all documentation is passed to Contracts Manager in an organised & timely fashion.
* To ensure all department documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company policy (ISO9001:2008) ensuring that all documentation is finished within the required time.
* To ensure company standards are maintained at all times along with a commercial awareness & a strong commitment towards quality & customer service.
* Ensure all extra works are recorded and that a formal site instruction is received from the Client / Main Contractor’s representative prior to any additional works being carried out.
* To assist the Quantity Surveyor in producing interim applications for project works, assisting in the preparation of final accounts for projects.
* Create an environment of continuous improvement by constantly reviewing methodologies & procedures, making & implementing any agreed improvements.
* Undertake any other duties as assigned by your Line Manager.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
* Fitting joinery in accordance with Construction drawings and programme
* Completion of ALL required site documentation
* Recovery / reconciliation of additional sub contract labour hours or costs
* On time completion of projects
* Snag free completion of contracts
* Quality of site works
