The role of the Purchasing and Stock Coordinator is to ensure a highly professional service is provided to all its internal and external stakeholders.
Job Purposes
This role has been created to ensure that the purchasing function at Fourayes is carried out effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
All activities related to the purchasing function as described in the duties and accountabilities section of this document

Education & Qualifications:
To perform this role successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and ideally:
• Hold a current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Hold a current Intermediate HACCP Certificate
• Have relevant work experience (preferably in the food industry)
• Computer Literate especially e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Principle Accountabilities
• Full implementation of Company’s Purchasing Policy
• Running MRP on Factory master for ingredient requirements
• Monitoring supplier performance
• Comparing budget and actual costs tracking price movement
• Consulting with customers and supplier on their requirements
• Negotiating deals/ contracts with suppliers
• Creating contract purchase orders through the FactoryMaster system, monitoring and updating on a regular basis
• Actively participating in various purchasing projects
• Maintaining effective stock management
• Liaising proactively with Departmental Managers to forecast, plan to meet, and to supply demand to relevant quality
• Managing purchasing information and systems
• Liaising with the Departmental Managers to ensure their purchasing requirements (existing and potential) are evaluated and met
• Generating various reports and data as necessary
• Entering and maintaining all new ingredients on the ‘Recipe system’ and keep the system updated with any price changes
• Collecting, checking and signing off invoices
• Booking in deliveries
• Entering data and managing stock movement sheet
• Generate packaging weight data.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet, cold and or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise levels have been assessed across the plant and some areas are mandatory hearing protection zones. Local area PPE requirements must be adhered to at all times.
