Fence installer
Our Ashford client are currently recruiting for an experienced Fence Installer to join their installations team.

As an experienced Fence Installer, you will work in a team of 2 fitting and repairing all types of fences and gates, using a range of hand and power tools. You will be required to work on both wooden and steel fences.
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
• Remove the old fencing when required
• Measure and lay out the lines of the new fence, according to the plan
• Leveling the ground
• Using hand tools or mechanical diggers to dig foundations for fence posts
• Position wooden, concrete or metal posts, and fix them to a concrete base

The successful candidate will:
• Have experience of using a range of materials including timber, wire and metal, concrete etc
• Have an understanding of Health and Safety regulations
• Have good practical ability in wood and metalwork.
• Be comfortable working with numbers and have the ability to follow plans.
• Have the willingness to work outdoor in ALL weathers.
• CSCS Training and certification would be an advantage.
• Have the ability to communicate clearly with customers
• Have practical skills for using hand and power tools

You will usually work around 43 hours a week however due to the nature of this work overtime will be expected during the week and some weekends during the busy periods.

The work will spread across a wide geographical area and you will be expected to share the driving with other team members. You will be provided with a transit van for work duties however candidates must have their own transport in order to get to and from the base in Ashford.
