Connect2Kent are currently recruiting for an operator for a weigh bridge test unit to assist trading standards and engineers in testing weighbridges and other items where heavy loads are experienced.
The operator will be responsible for the transport and safe movement of weights and also ensure that the unit is maintained, serviced and complies with legislation.
The operator must be an experienced articulated lorry driver with a current CE (HGV1) licence, driver CPC and conversant with the law relating to heavy goods vehicles.
Experience of counter-balance forklift truck driving would be an advantage but training would be available for the right candidate. Experience of weighbridge testing would be an advantage.
The post is part time, annualised hours equivalent to 3 days per week. There will be some early starts, overnights and occasional week end work. Other duties may include van driving.
