Digital Designer, UI Designer, Web Designer, CONTRACT, Temporary, Retail

A large eBusiness based in Central London are looking for a Web Designer to join the team on a Contract basis. The successful candidate will create visual designs that effectively communicate seasonal concepts and themes, including the design and production of emails, homepages, landing pages, promotional materials and special projects. You will be responsible for managing brand identity and refresh designs as necessary.

Requirements:

• BA Graphic Design or equivalent
• Middle weight web designer
• 3 + years experience at MW level
• Previous experience in a fast passed ecommerce team

Skills/knowledge

You should have experience within an eCommerce or retail environment ideally a department store.

• A strong portfolio showing versatility and attention to detail
• Adobe Creative Suite:
Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign primarily.
• Have a good background in working across a number of different CMS platforms.
• A good working knowledge of HTML, CSS
• Ability to articulate and present creative ideas internally.
• Self motivated, organised and accountable.
• You will need to be able to handle a busy workload without losing track and be willing to grow and learn within the company.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative and be part of a diverse team
• Strong understanding of typography, colour and layout.
• A flexible attitude to adapt to a growing team as well as demanding business needs.
• Pro-active with an ability to show initiative and generate ideas to constantly improve the quality of the site.
