Our client is a successful Software and solutions house based in the Medway Towns. They are looking for someone ideally with some knowledge of the education sector.

Maybe you have completed teacher training but then had a change of heart?
Have you started a career in teaching but then decided to try something different?

Our client would find this industry knowledge invaluable. They look carefully at the key challenges that directly impact on teaching and learning performance in primary and secondary schools and, sixth form colleges in the UK. They then match them with effective solutions. Some are new to the UK, some have won or been nominated for prestigious awards. All of them are ‘game changers’.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a recent graduate, preferably with some business experience. You should be a great communicator, have a high level of personal integrity and the ability to build relationships with others. You should also be enthusiastic, tenacious, organised and self-motivated. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is a pre-requisite.

We work closely with educators and so you should be articulate in your verbal and written communications and, be able to offer some evidence of a ‘wider person’ (ie. Interests, hobbies, sport etc.)

What else should you know?

• You do not need any previous sales experience; indeed you may not even be certain that a sales role is right for you. Our approach is unique in our market.
• You will be an integral part of a highly motivated team. However, you will be based from home.
• A company car is provided and so you will need a full UK driving licence in addition to an EU passport or valid UK Work Visa.
• We would expect you to have a sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and be conversant with the leading social networking channels.
• The capacity to research and consolidate information held online and in print media will be invaluable.
• The recruitment process will involve the review of your CV/covering letter, a telephone interview followed by a 4-hour assessment centre.
• If you get the job it is because you have the capability to be amongst the most effective sales consultants in our business – even though you may not know it!
• We will provide all the initial training that you need. In addition to opportunities to grow professionally and personally. (This will include fundraising events for education charities)


Your key responsibilities

• Empathise with the needs/priorities of our customers and the challenges that they face
• Appreciate the changing dynamics of the education market and the implications on our customers
• Demonstrate a full, working knowledge of our product/service portfolio
• Engage in a consultative selling process, matching customer needs to available resources
• Deliver what you promise and leverage your professional relationships to optimise sales
• Achieve sales revenue and activity targets
