We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CAD technician to join our Lighting team. This position is responsible for producing our lighting design information using AutoCAD, Excel and other design packages under the instruction of the lighting designers. The position is also responsible for the correct filing and issuing of the lighting information produced. You will have a proven track record with excellent communication skills and be able to build professional and client relationships. You may also from time to time, be required to travel overseas for projects.
As a CAD Technician you will:
• Produce CAD drawings as required ensuring drawings are accurate, tidy and well presented.
• Produce lighting schedules as required.
• Count and double check quantities of fittings shown on drawings.
• Ensure that drawings are kept up to date and issued as required.
• Compile packs of drawings for site meetings.
• Produce O+M manuals and other contractor relation documentation.
• Source lighting products for projects as required.
• Liaise with the stock department to ensure equipment is ordered and delivered to site as needed.
• Answer telephone calls in relation to the role as required.
• HARVEST – Log daily hours of work.
Quality Control:
• You are expected to ensure that all work or products being issued to the client meets Ideaworks standards and high specification. Attention to detail is critical as is ensuring all work is checked by others and all products are tested.
Health & Safety:
• Adhere to the correct health and safety measures within the office and when visiting sites (when applicable).
(But able to travel to London and worldwide as required)
