Our client a large organisation based in Kings Hill are looking to recruit a Analyst Programmer/Architect.

The candidate will need to learn and understand the architecture of the packaged systems and in house developed applications and databases used by the organisation. To develop a good understanding of the organisations business practices, procedures and operational methods and ensure that existing systems architecture is fully supported.


Main duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign
- Produce documentation on existing architecture and database schemas
- Develop a deep understanding of the primary supported systems so as to be able to translate business requirements into functional changes.
- Produce detailed functional design documents to match customer requirements
- Contribute to the technical design of systems and architectures.
- Develop, implement and maintain .Net based components and interfaces.
- Carry out code reviews to ensure that standards are met.
- Provide mentoring for colleagues.
- Assist in the coordination of requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Researching software and hardware products and services and finding the best solutions and prices to meet business requirements
- Analyse software and business processes systems to align the software solutions with business objectives and the mission statement.
- Identify and define specifications for enhancements in performance of existing business system.
- Presenting and translating the design to customers
- Work independently with minimal supervision to meet performance metrics.
- To carry out any task or duty within the capabilities of the individual as directed by their Line Manager.

Key Qualifications and Experience

Hands-on expertise in the following technologies:,
- .NET and related technologies ( XML, etc). Database technologies (SQL Server, stored procedures) Web development
- Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities .
- An understanding of architecture and the principals of application design
- Strong analytical & problem solving ability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to work in a team or individually
- Willingness to learn and share information with colleagues
- Able to cope with a pressured environment maintaining a polite and cheerful disposition at all times.
