Paediatric In–House Service Technician
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Location: New Hythe, Aylesford
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours
Contract: Permanent

Community Care Equipment & Services (CCES) provides a comprehensive community equipment loan store service on behalf of Kent & Medway Social Services and the NHS and is committed to deliver, install, collect, maintain, store and decontaminate community and tele-care/tele-health equipment to enable vulnerable people to live independently.
We require an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our busy team. Your role will involve checking, repairing, recycling, maintaining and conducting safety checks on a range of children’s equipment in preparation for delivery.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Checking, repairing and recycling paediatric equipment in preparation for delivery.
Carrying out safety checks on a wide range of Paediatric equipment.
Responsible for managing the Paediatric stock, ensuring equipment is accurately recorded on the stock system and in the correct locations for picking.
Regularly liaising with external agencies/manufacturers to ensure accurate and up-to date knowledge on equipment.
Assisting with the transfer of hydraulic community equipment in the community when required.
Covering for the external Paediatric Technician in times of absence.
Advising clinicians on products when required.
You will possess excellent technical skills and will have an engineering/maintenance/technical background as well as being able to deal confidently and sympathetically with vulnerable people. You will also possess excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of ‘Excel’. You will be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, be flexible and be able to self manage.
This role also includes lifting heavy equipment and sometimes working at height.
Fork lift certification (counter-balance and reach) is an advantage but fork lift training will be given if necessary as this is essential to the post.
Due to the nature of this role you will be required to undergo a DBS check.
