Hays Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant job for a primary school in the Thanet area. We are looking for somebody able to plan and deliver appropriate programmes of work to meet individual pupil needs and targets.
You will have proven experience in a classroom environment, especially supporting children with ADHD & Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding, appropriate levels of child development within a SEN environment. In addition the successful candidate will need to be familiar with IEP formulation, delivery and review. Excellent communication skills with parents and outside agencies are essential, including attendance at meetings, in order to effectively meet the needs of families and pupils.
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant post you will:
Have a minimum of 6 months referenceable experience of supporting SEN pupils in the last 2 years.
You must hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
Have an ability to work as part of a team coordinating the care of a pupil (including class teacher, parents and outside agencies).
Have the ability to implement and contribute to IEP’s.
