Our client a manufacturing company based in the Tonbridge area is looking to recruit an Order Picker to join their team.
The hours will Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
Due to the location of the site applicants will need to have their own transport.
Main aim of the job
To carry out general warehouse duties such as picking, inspecting, cutting and packing goods, loading and unloading Lorries, putting stock away.
Principal performance objectives
• Timely and accurate picking, inspecting, cutting and packing of customer orders ensuring that product presentation is to a very high standard.
• General warehouse upkeep duties.
Required competencies/skills
• Previous warehouse and or factory working experience would be an advantage.
• A counter balance forklift licence and/or narrow isle truck licence would be desirable but not essential as in house training will be given.
The person
• A methodical approach to tasks
• Eye for detail and accuracy
• Someone who willingly accepts tasks not normally part of their remit
• Ability to work safely within a team or alone
• Good attendance and time keeping
Physical requirements
The job involves manual work.
This role is for approx. 12 weeks, possibly longer and may be Temporary to Permanent.
