A growing Kentish country hotel is seeking a senior sous chef to assist with the day to day running of the properties busy kitchen department which serves a busy 120 seat restaurant and the banqueting department which caters for weddings and functions. As senior sous chef you will be working closely with the Head Chef to manage the team of 8+ chefs ensuring that they are all aware of their responsibilities whilst also training them to perform to the best of their abilities so they reach the company standards. At the same time you will be expected to cook and run service on a daily basis ensuring it is always running smoothly. The business has an excellent reputation for high quality, fresh food dining with menus that take advantage of fresh local produce.
A very strong sous chef or experienced senior chef who has a stable career in restaurant and banqueting catering, fresh food and high class cuisine is required for this role. As well as being a competent all round chef you must also be a dedicated manager with the ability to organise a large brigade and ensure all the necessary paperwork is up to date and the margins are achieved.
Rural location so own transport is essential. 5.5 weeks holiday per year.
