Support and Resettlement Worker – Adult Services
Project/Bases: Canterbury (Craddock House and Shared Houses)
Reports to:Project Leader/Services Manager
Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £19,301 gross pa

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support and Resettlement Worker to provide housing management and support services to single, homeless people to enable them to maintain their tenancies/licences. The successful candidate will have experience of establishing positive working relationships with clients and to providing guidance, assistance and support. The post is based across two supported housing projects in Canterbury, Craddock House and Shared Houses.
Craddock House is a 21-bed supported housing projects for both male and female individuals aged over 18 with low to medium support needs. Whilst staying at our short-term supported accommodation residents are expected to engage in the key working and support planning process. They are also able to access the Porchlight service user involvement, activities and volunteering programme if suitable.
The post will also support the Shared Houses project. This project has 8 shared houses providing low support accommodation as a move-on step for people before living independently within the community. The Shared Houses project can house 22 people at any one time, consisting of five houses (accommodating three to five tenants in each) and two single, self-contained flats. These houses are situated in various residential areas around Canterbury.
You will be supporting residents with varying problems such as accessing benefits, education, employment and move-on accommodation and liaising with other agencies that can assist them in addressing their individual issues. Our support helps residents to deal with life on a day-to-day basis, preparing them for independent living.
The role will operate 9 to 5 Monday to Friday but flexibility will be required.
