This leading provider of colocation are looking for a NOC engineer with actual experience with IPv4 networking, routing, VLANs, NAT and IP connectivity troubleshooting. IPv6 knowledge and Linux experience would be good but not essential. The candidate must also have real life experience in configuring routers and switches at any level (Cisco preferred). The role is for a night-shift NOC engineer so the candidate must be comfortable primarily working nights with occasional day shifts for training. The job entails monitoring their network, cooling and power systems. It involves tasks from dealing with customer support tickets, remote hands, running cables to configuring routers and switches for various reasons. On the job training is given to help build on existing skills and familiarisation with their systems and procedures.
