Description of Vacancy

This opportunity is placed within a thriving business with prospects for advancement.

The vacancy is for a junior sales person

We are looking for the highly motivated individual who can compliment our team of professionals by dealing with customers by phone and face to face.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to complete general office duties and to offer support to our Sales team. Duties include:-

•Greeting and speaking to customers
•Answer telephone enquiries
•Maintaining customer records
•Contacting customers to arrange viewings
•Assisting in customer on site viewings
•Managing and marketing properties
•Assist in the process of selling or letting residential properties
•Assist in negotiations on behalf of clients.
There will be additional training in valuation of properties with a view to the candidate moving to a full Sales Negotiator position

Wage

£4.30 per hour

Car allowance- to be discussed

Hours

40 hours a week, over 5 days.

Skills Required

•Basic computer skills
•Ability to work well on their own
•Good maths and English skills
•Ability to work in an organised and structured way
•Good telephone manner, polite and professional
Personal Qualities
•Punctual
•Enthusiastic
•Well organised
•Good attention to detail
•Well spoken and presentable

Qualifications Required

Minimum of Level 1 in maths and English

Future Prospects

Potential for full time employment for the correct candidate

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards

Additional Detail

From the 1st October 2012 a National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices was introduced for young people aged 16-18 and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The rate is £2.68 per hour. The NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.


Important Information

The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution.

KT&A specialise in high quality work-based training, delivered by qualified staff with personal experience of working in the skill area they teach.
