PA to Vice Principal Curriculum

Full time 37 hours per week; term time only + 4 weeks
Salary from £26,664 to £30,000 (Pro rata)
Bromley College is the major provider of vocational education and training in the Bromley area. We provide a distinctive range of courses for young people and a wide range of professional and employment related qualifications for adults.
We are currently seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to provide a highly efficient, friendly and professional administrative support function to the Vice Principal – Curriculum and relevant Directors. The PA will hold the strategic overview of the delivery of work into the Vice Principal’s and Directors offices and will plan for the execution of this work. Duties will include note taking at formal meetings, producing minutes, producing presentations, correspondence and conducting research in order to produce high quality reports.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level or equivalent and hold or willingness to complete an appropriate secretarial/administration qualification. You should have substantial experience in a senior administrative position which included extensive diary management, committee servicing, information gathering and the ability to work effectively in a team. You should also possess excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities. To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills with a high level on attention to detail and an advanced operating level of all Microsoft Office programs. Experience of working in a similar role within Education and a fast paced environment is highly desirable.
Candidates should possess a full UK driving licence as travel to both our Orpington and Bromley campuses as well as to external meetings is required.
As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a ‘Standard’ or ‘Enhanced’ DBS check.
