Connect2Kent is looking for 2 x temporary full time drainage technical support officers in Ashford.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for incidents referred by the Contact Centre and other parts and determine the appropriate response time for deployment of resources.
To assist the team by undertaking duties to enable Engineers to concentrate on complex and non-routine matters

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact within the team for the Contact Centre, assess reports for accuracy, review the information provided and where necessary, amend the priority.
- Respond to enquiries and allocate work direct to the contractor where appropriate. Refer enquiries where further investigation or engineering work is required.
- Manage reports relating to “emergencies” including determining the appropriate response and issuing works instructions. Liaise with the relevant Engineer to ensure that they are aware of the reports and actions being undertaken in their area.
- Update enquiries, works orders and asset information in the relevant modules.
- Collect and collate relevant records and statistics for works recharges, responses to claims and internal funding bids.
- Assist in the preparation of work packages, programming of work and applications for work permits. Use specialist software to provide drawings and statistical information at the request of other team members.
- Assist in the collection and management of key performance indicators and information that can be used to improve any part of the service.
- Undertake supplementary administrative and technical tasks as and when required, to support other team members and the team leader.

Candidates will be required to register at our office in Kings Hill, West Malling and will need to complete an online skills test prior to registration.
