LIFE SKILLS SERVICES - PLANTS AND PRODUCE
HIGHLANDS FARM, WOODCHURCH, KENT
Temporary; 6 month contract
Full-time; 162.5 per month (Part-time hours considered)
Salary Scale: £13,629 - £15,004 (pro rata part time)
Canterbury Oast Trust provides quality development opportunities for adults with learning disabilities in a variety of vocational subjects and settings across Kent and East Sussex.
The Trust owns and manages 6 social enterprises where people can develop their skills in a supportive real life setting.Our Plants and Produce enterprise is a plant nursery operating from the Rare Breeds Centre selling quality produce and supporting people to gain new skills.
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic horticultural tutor to support adults with learning disabilities in horticultural activities and crop production.
Working as part of a team you will provide high quality support to the adults based on their needs through a person-centred approach. You will ensure appropriate levels of health and safety are maintained at all times and promote the work of the RBC Plants and Produce Life Skills project.
Ideally you will have practical experience of horticulture and crop production, as well as experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities. You will have a clear and current driving licence. An Enhanced Criminal Records check is required for this role.
