Our client, a leading Kent based Digital Media company require a PHP Developer to join the team.

The PHP Developer will report into the Managing Director and take sole responsibility for the impressive web presence of this leading online organisation. The role will be heavily geared around maintenance and new/adjustments to features and database work.

The PHP Developer will have experience with:

PHP 5
PHP Framework (Ideally – Kohana) otherwise will consider candidates with FuelPHP, Codeignitor, Zend and Symfony.
Sphinx Database / Apache Tika
Mysql/MariaDB
CSS Pre-processor
Proven experience with Ajax especially working with Json

The PHP Developer will have good working knowledge of MySQL and general SQL (you must be able to write complex queries, and
Write pure SQL without an ORM) Working knowledge of MySQL query optimisation

It would be nice for the PHP Developer to have experience with some of the following:

Knowledge of using, and generating XML
Working with Version Control Systems (eg Git)
Knowledge of Capistrano

The PHP Developer will have client side skills which include:

Working and proven knowledge of HTML5, and CSS3
Cross browser development and testing
Good exposure to writing proper Object-Oriented JavaScript (JQuery is good, but you must be able to write
JavaScript without relying on it if needed)
Knowledge of Web Standards
Relatively good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (you don’t need to design a website, but you do need to know how to take an existing design, and modify/extract the design as needed)
