A challenging opportunity has arisen for an IT Support & Infrastructure manager to join our team at a growing business. You will report to the COO ensuring that the needs of the business are
met.
Skills/Technology/Qualifications required
· Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V/VMware).
· Networking Knowledge (VLANs, Trunking, QoS).
· Network monitoring such as Nagios.
· Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013.
· Microsoft SQL 2008/2012.
· IIS.
· AD and Group Policy.
· Business Continuity planning and implementation.
· Experience of supporting VoIP systems a necessity
Please note that there is no current line management requirements but the role will develop as the business evolves
Responsibilities
· Overall responsibility for the uptime of the entire infrastructure of the business.
· Provision of effective support for all users within the company: Ensure that all support requests are consistently logged, allowing for analysis of type and root cause of issue.
· Ensure that all tickets are resolved in a timely fashion with excellent communication and expectation management provided to the user at all points in the resolution process.
· Proactive preventative maintenance of the infrastructure to minimise faults and downtime.
· Empowering end users to self-support wherever possible (especially for common problems).
· Ensuring that the IT team are positively represented to the rest of the business through a professional presence in the office and at meetings and through intelligent, appropriate communication.
· Responsibility for business continuity audits, planning, communication and rehearsal of BCP processes. This includes data backup and retrieval.
· On-going documentation of all infrastructure, services and processes.
· Liaison and management of suppliers, including SLA compliance. To work with the COO in selecting suppliers and services.
· Management of a robust on-call service to users within the business.
· Provide assistance to the COO as required.
Must have experience and passion for
· Working in an environment with exceptional high uptime demands.
· A growing business with a variety of systems and innovative working atmosphere.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and relate to a variety of non-technical users.
· Have the ability to think through solutions to issues proactively
· Being on call is essential.
· Ability and willingness to adhere to all company requirements.
