Trainer – Mental Health

• £20,000 to £25,000 pa DOE, pro rota

• A one-year contract, with a real possibility to extend to a permanent contract

• Location: Maidstone Mind - delivering training in and around Kent

• Hours: 16 hours per week with potential to escalate these hours rapidly

• An enhanced DBS check is required for this role

Maidstone Mind was established in 1979 and is affiliated to National Mind, a leading mental health charity. We are dedicated to improving the lives of people who are experiencing mental health issues by providing well-respected recovery based community services, high quality information and advice.

We actively promote positive wellbeing and have recently launched our Recovery and Wellbeing Centre. We provide support to individuals, carers and families through a wide range of diverse services. We aim to stamp out stigma and discrimination.

We provide Mental Health training to numerous organisations and the demand is growing. We are looking for someone who can not only develop their own training/lesson plans, deliver training, but also look to expand the number of clients we deliver training too. This is a new exciting new position and it has potential to grow into a fulltime permanent position for the right person.

We are looking for a qualified trainer with at least 2 years’ experience writing and delivering training. Experience of mental health, whether lived experience or in a professional role, is highly desirable, however full mental health training and support will be provided.
