Band 5 Physiotherapist
• Full Time position
• Term time with flexibility to work some hours in the school holidays
• Based at The Royal School for Deaf Children Margate
• Salary will be equivalent to Agenda for Change Band 5.
An enthusiastic Physiotherapist is now required to deliver a physiotherapy service for the children and young people at The John Townsend Trust.
The John Townsend Trust provides education and care for d/Deaf children and young people or young people with communication difficulties who may have additional needs, for a positive future within work and their communities. With a school, college, residential provision and Hydrotherapy Centre on site this is an exciting and interesting opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent Physiotherapy Diploma, will be registered with the HPC and have clear CPD evidence including recent post-graduate events. Knowledge of assessment and treatment tools specific to clients with learning Disability and awareness of the utility of aquatic physiotherapy are essential. The Trust’s on site Hydrotherapy Pool forms an important part of the service that the Physiotherapy team is able to provide. Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multi disciplinary team is required in this role.
