Financial Controller (REF FC1410)
Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: Dependent on skill set and experience circa 35K plus Benefits
Sota Solutions is a market-leading IT solutions company specialising in network infrastructure, data centre, and business continuity services for small, medium and large enterprises, public sector organisations, and other service providers. Established for over 25 years with a £5M turnover, the company has a record of sustained growth and is currently experiencing further rapid expansion.
The Financial Controller is a hands-on management level role requiring a highly organised all-round accountant ensuring the finance and sales administration teams are working effectively. Reporting to the Finance Director and Managing Director you will also assist with the ongoing development of systems and subsequent implementation of process and procedure which will enable the company move to the next stage.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reliable delivery of the administrative functions of the business in a timely and accurate manner.
- Management of the accounts and sales administration teams.
- Introduction of new procedures within the business.
- Preparation of Monthly Management Report and accounts.
- Banking and Payments - management and authorisation including Direct Debit and BACS.
- Stock Reconciliation.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
- VAT returns.
- Personnel (HR) management including records and recruitment vetting.
- Processing and managing the PAYE & payroll including management of benefits in kind, overtime and expense claims.
- Administration of share schemes.
- Employee benefit schemes including administration of the company pension scheme and the introduction of automatic enrolment.
- Management of administrative IT systems and introduction of new software and upgrades as required.
- Compliance including management of the companies Insurance, Data Protection & Health & Safety requirements.
- Intellectual property.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated experienced individual, demonstrating strong inter-personal skills and willing to embrace change whilst looking to develop a long term career.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.45 – 5.15
